I am no longer sneezing and aching but for three days I breathed like this
I had pretty much given up on breathing through my nose
People kept saying, “See a doctor!” but I already saw the only doctor I could afford
but I did not give up! I tried Vick’s Vaporub
hot tea
Medicinal herbs
Comfort foods
You could not make me get out of the tub
I even resorted to less conventional remedies
All to no avail. I had pretty much given up hope so I consulted the doctor again
Almost out of ideas, I decided to try nasal irrigation
bed rest
more bed rest
and massage
Turns out medicinal kittens were just what the doctor ordered!
and I am finally bidding this illness bye-bye
